I am a proactive and committed university graduate who has completed a Bachelor of Communication (Majoring in Journalism and Broadcasting). I have relevant experience in a Media Coordination position, with a passion for journalism and media and a desire to learn more. My career goal is to obtain a media role in a diverse and interesting organisation such as the W.A. Police. I bring strong communication and sound time management skills with the ability to work flexibly and efficiently individually or as part of a team. With my mix of academic and work experience I have gained over three years, I believe I am an ideal candidate for the Media Support Officer position.

Sorrento Football Club (SFC)

Media Coordinator Assistant (March 2015 – January 2016)

Promoted to Media Coordinator, part time (January 2016 – current)

 Key duties and responsibilities include:


  • Write detailed post-game match reports
  • Manage all social media for SFC, including Facebook and Twitter
  • Post live updates on match events
  • Provide timely and update to date information to club official, members and spectators
  • Maintain and update the Sorrento FC Website
  • Notify members of events through various mediums
  • Carry out research and monitor news in order to prepare articles
  • Write articles and other sports content for Newsletters
  • Note all key events during games and prepare match reports
  • Liaise with other clubs and media representatives
  • Prepare and submit Weekly E-Newsletters
  • Interview staff, key players, spectators and other key stakeholders
  • Take photos of the matches to be used on the website


I introduced a number of new initiatives and media strategies whilst under contract for SFC including:

  • The use of QR code to display weekly match program
  • Helped promote/advertise a nationally broadcast match between Sorrento and national team Sydney Football Club
  • Created several images for club stories via Photoshop to keep website fresh and unique
  • Assisted in the creation of a weekly schedule that saw the newsletter sent out and match report posted at the same time each week

  • Head Boy in my final year of Secondary studies
  • Introduction of a school-based “Choose Respect” campaign, which involved making speeches, promoting the program through various mediums and writing articles for local papers
